Privacy Policy

1. The software

SampleForge VPO runs on your own computer. It does not send any data over the internet: no analytics, crash reports, accounts or online checks.

It stores your projects, settings and analysis caches on your computer only, in places you choose or in your user folder. Your sample sets stay where they are; SampleForge VPO only changes them when you allow it, and never uploads them.

2. This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking, and has no accounts. The tester application form is provided by Google Forms (see section 4).

It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes basic technical data (such as IP addresses and request details) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

3. Emails you send us

If you email hello@ or support@sampleforgevpo.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include, such as bug reports and log files. We use it only to reply and to fix problems, and we do not share it or add you to any mailing list. Messages are forwarded to and stored in an email account provided by Google.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering your message and supporting the software. We keep emails for as long as needed to deal with them and support you, then delete them.

4. Tester applications

Applications to become a tester are collected using Google Forms. What you enter is stored by Google and in a Google Sheet that only we can see, and is used only to choose and contact testers. See Google's privacy policy. Applications are deleted once the testing round has been chosen, unless you become a tester, or sooner if you ask.

5. Buying SampleForge VPO

When the Full edition goes on sale, payment will be handled by a reseller under its own privacy policy. This page will be updated to say what that reseller shares with us before sales begin.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email hello@sampleforgevpo.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
